My little girl and husband made a HUGE snowman tonight. We have had approximately 15 inches of snow in the last 6 days, so making a snowman on a 32 degree day seemed like a fabulous undertaking. They had so much fun and so did all the neighbors driving by. It is lovely living in a neighborhood that neighbors actually stop and say "HI" if you are outside. Believe me, we have lived in a neighborhood where that doesn't happen....Anyway, several neighbors loved seeing the snowman-making process--even the neighbors we don't know had big smiles on their faces as my hubby and girlie were making their masterpiece. My husband had promised hot chocolate, which I did not have on hand. So, after I was done taking pics of them, I raced inside and made my own version of hot chocolate and it was a HIT! Here is the recipe:
2 cups milk
2 Tablespoons sugar
1 Tablespoon of cocoa powder
1 ounce dark chocolate bar (or chocolate chips)
Heat on stove (and stir!) until chocolate is melted. Serve with marshmellows, if you have them around.
